Ich weiß von ein paar Tractor Pullern, die in USA mit reinem Ethanol fahren.
Dazu vielleicht eine interessante Antwort, die ich von einem Hersteller bekommen habe:
The first thing is understanding the fuel characteristics. Ethanol is a slower burning fuel than Methanol. It has an ignition point of about 850 degrees compared to Methanols 750-800. So tune-ups must be a little more precise. In some cases we’ve seen the need to increase ignition output,(power in millijoules), when high RPM misfiring starts to occur. High speed bypasses on mech fuel injection will help with that as well. You will cut back your fuel consumption by about 24%-30 % from Methanol. It likes a little more fuel pressure for better atomization in mechanical or electronic fuel injection. The power level achieved is about 3-5 % less than methanol on normally aspirated engines. Supercharged engines can add slightly more boost to overcome this. The stochiometric air/fuel ratio is 9 to 1. The octane rating on pure fuel ethanol is 117-120. You will have a slight engine heat increase over methanol. Usually around 5-10 degrees. Engine timing can stay the same as your methanol tune-up, as well as spark plug gap and heat range.
