Hello European drag racer, have you heard about the French Dragster Trophy from the ATD association?

It’s 6 years now since we have begun our French trophy, with 5 races a year and six classes as following:

- Super Comp ET Dulamon Auto from 8s90 to 7s50
- Super Gas Pacific Garage 9s90
- Super Street Pak Manutention 10s90
- Street Run A Rod & Kustom 12s
- Street Run B Francedrag.com 13s
- Street Run C Nitro de 14s à 16s
- Junior Dragster index times

2007 will be the birth of the super comp ET category. Because Comp eliminator is too difficult for us to manage, we have decided to create a new category for racer who can go faster than 8s90 with a 7s50 limit. The people who organize the French Dragster Trophy are Racer only; maybe you know us, Eric ANGELONI, Patrick DUBOIS, Christophe DUBOIS, Christian MAZURE, Gilbert ROZET, or Jean DULAMON. We were bored of bad racing management, waiting on pre stage line and only 3 runs a week-end!

In 2007 and 2008, more than 350 different racers from France, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy have enjoyed racing in France! We have made an average of ten qualification runs for each race, of course, not mandatory if your engine can’t handle so much activity…. or if you prefer to keep your fuel for the race !

Entrance fees are used to pay the money prize and are guaranteed by the ATD. No bad surprise. Here is the rewards :
Super Comp ET: - winner: 750 €, second: 350 €, 3rd et 4th : 250 €
Super Gas: - winner: 600 €, second: 300 €, 3rd et 4th :150 €
Super Street: - winner: 450 €, second: 250 €, 3rd et 4th : 100 €
Street Run A: - winner: 200 €, second: 100 €, 3rd et 4th : 50 €
Street Run B: - winner: 160 €, second: 80 €, 3rd et 4th : 40 €
Street Run C ET: - winner: 120 €, second: 60 €, 3rd et 4th : 30 €

Mitteilung:

Vom ersten zum dritten Mai,findet die Siebzehnte DRAG POWER SHOW statt. Sie wird sich noch weiter entwickeln indem sie von Chambley nach Mirecourt verzezt wird. So wird sie entlich eine Infrastruktur von höchster Qualität und eine Leistungsfähigerennbahn erhalten, damit sie ihren Platz als Gröte Drag Tuning Show Europas halten kann.
Wie jedes Jahr, werden die Dragsters vorgeführt, es ist ein wahres Fest der Motormechanik, mit seinem Vierhundertmeterstandstartt.
In Mirecourt, werden beim ersten Wettkampft der 2009 Meisterschaft (ATD).alle Dragsters Klassen anwesend sein.
Es ist die Gelegenheit die neuen Auto and Motorrad Teams sowie ihre Teufells Machinen und die Wheeling „Moto d’Or“ (Einzigartig in Frankreich) zu bewundern.
Die Drag Power Show ist jedesmal eine auergewönnliche Vorführung, die allein der DTO Organisator uns bieten kann. Es ist sehrwahrscheinlich die gröte Veranschtalltung dieser Art in Europa, aber auf jedenfall die gröte in Frankreich.
Wie immer werden die besten Stunt Accrobaten (Chris PFEIFFER, ...) der welt für groartigen Freestyle FMX Motorrad Show dabei sein.
Da gibt es auch auerordentliche Jet-cars, Jet-Bikes (zum ersten mal in Frankreich), Motofusée, Quads, Wheelstander. Dazu immer neue Uberrachungen,natürlich aussergewönnliche Superstarke Maschinen.
Wichtig, in diesem Jahr gibt es einen neuen Fahrbahn belag. Entlich GRIP in Frankreich!
Während diesen drei Tage, wird das Programm der neunte „GTI Tuning de l’Est“ Ausgabe 2009 mit Animationen, Tuning Wettbewerb und den Drift Shows verstärkt.
Mirecourt 2009 wird aussergewönnlich reich sein.Bisher hatten wir zwei Tage Tuning und zwei Tage Dragster, in diesem Jahr aber werden uns ganze drei Trage Dragster und Show Tuning angeboten. Noch niemals hat es ein so reiches Programm gegeben

Ich / wir wollten an vier Veranstaltungen Teilnehmen, aber ich bekomme noch nicht mal eine Rückantwort per E.-Mail..!!!
Selbst euren ATD-Racers-Club habe ich angeschrieben (in Englisch) und bekam "null" Rückantwort...!!!!!
Es währe mehr als Klasse, wenn Du uns einen Kontakt herstellen könntest, da wir in zwei klassen eure Französische Meisterschaft mitfahren möchten / wollen..!!!!

I asked this question on the 1 on 1 site:

Will racers without an international drag racing license be limited to 12.00 or slower? We went there last year and raced, but even with the physical checkup, there was no day or event license and we were stuck in Street 'A'! Also, we got 2nd place an nobody ever sent us the prize money since we had to split before the award ceremony. That was kind of disappointing since our mailing address could have easily been taken form our entrance paperwork.

Je demande si il faut une license FIA pour participer. L'an dernier if faillait q'on reste dans la classe Street "A" meme avec le controle medicale obligatoire. Un controle obligatoire pour Street? Ridicule. Y a-t-il une option pour obtenir un permis d'événement En plus, nous etions 2eme et on a jamais recu notre prix d'argent par courier parce que on pouvais pas rester pour la ceremonie. J'aurais compris pout un petit evenement, mail pout le plus grand spectacle de drag racing en France? J'espere que la piste est mieux que Chambley. Chambley etait horrible pour la traction.

- All class Street-run A/B/C : day licence will be OK to drive
- All class PRO: need internationale licence for all people, french or not.
- Your car must be OK (check rules FIA DRagster) to run @ class PRO.
- Like you, I was @ first or second or third place, and if I left from there before "ceremonial", ATD don't send money. YOu must stay to take it.
- And the good news is that the Drag strip of Mirecourt will be past!

Funny that 9.99 to 11.99 here is "Pro". We'll see how my "stock, all metal, factory iron heads, factory interior, metal bumpers, metal hood, working lights, turnsignals, wipers, radio in the dash, no Nitrous, Chevelle runs this year. Hopefully it won't require a PRO stamp.

My point is, NHRA requires licenses when you go 9.99 or quicker. I know that NHRA isn't the governing body here and in the case of Chambley I would have to give Bernie Ecclestone money to run 10's or 11's for a very short season. Used to coming out of school on a Tuesday night, driving to the Test and Tune at the track and not being bothered with special licenses.l
