Hi Tony und Peter,
ich glaube Tony hat recht mit dem Auto.
Owen Jacobs hatte davor einen Ford Capri, 2,3Ltr. Einspritzer, gehabt und ist zu dieser Zeit auf den Mustang umgestiegen. Ich muss mal in meinen alten Bilder suchen vielleicht finde ich noch ein Foto.
War eine grosse Zeit 83.

War damals State of the Art! Ist der noch in Deutschland?

That Mustang was sold to Holland and a couple of years later to England.
The English owner put in a blown V8 and made it streetlegal.
In my memory the chassis was not what you would call "State of the art"

I think the picture taken from the back of the Camero is from a guy called Owen Jacobs who imported it from the states in 82 and it had a small block in it. He ended up selling it to the Habermanns. The Mustang was owned by Jack Davis and was built completely in Germany by Jack, this was Germany's first Super Gasser,

You are right with the Small Block. Only 292 cu. in. and a Index of 10.15 sec!

Question: Was Jack Davis a carbuilder or just e Racer?

Echt Klasse, was Ihr hier alles an alten Bildern rauskrammt.! Die Chevelle von Tony Rowe gibt`s auch noch. Sie befindet sich im Fahrzeugbestand von "Toyman" Peter Ritscher (Red-Line-Motors).

Nachfolgend eine Serie von Rowe`s Record-Holder Corvette. Hat mir dazumal mächtig Eindruck gemacht!
War in Erlensee einer der wenigen, die einen Frontwheels-up Start hinlegten!

Was mich als (damaliger) Mopar-Fanatiker freute, war seine Mopar Six-Pack Holley Carbs, die den Wagen zusammen mit einem BB in die 10er (richtig?) Zeit katapultierte.
Man beachte, wie er das Problem Carb-Entlüftung gelöst hat. Es war nur wenigen dazumal bekannt, dass bei Fullspeed Benzin via Carbbowles- Entlüftung in die Ansaugkanäle gezogen wird- was dann eine Ueberfettung des Motores zur Folge hatte.

Was bedeutet "Upstate Boys"? Die Nordstaaten von America?

I met the guy with the red Chevy here at the Fliegerhorst Dragrace my first time. Since then he was many times at the races in Ensisheim (F), Giebelstadt and Hockenheim where we had good times together. He is no longer racing, I think.
His car was a beautiful almost stock Nova II from the year 1966, right?
Who knows him?

It looks more like a 63 Ford Galaxie or maybe even a T-bolt

Does anyone know where this 57 Chevy ended up?
I saw it years ago ('86?) at a race at Eindhoven airfield in Holland.
Owner was a American that lived in Germany,
I saw him again later with a chopped red 55 Chevy truck.
The car was darkgreen with ghostflames and a stickshifted small block with a dual quad tunnelram on top. That 57 made a big impression on me at that time!
