then you are not using the right equiment at all.
if you use th Biondo shift controller (200 USD) then the solenoid gets only activated either once (Powerglide) or twice (TH400), the latter with two independent shift points and then never ever again until power has been switched off.
It CAN NOT happen that solenoid gets activated just because trap rpm is higher then shift rpm!
what you describe happens only when people use a cheap rpm switch only
