Hi Racer und Fans,
gerade auf Eurodragster gelesen:
Pro ET for Drachten?
15th July: UK Super Comp racer Dave Catton has been in
touch on behalf of Paul Marston Racing "School truants" Steve
Bolton, Gary Springford and himself to congratulate The
Netherlands' eXplosion Dragracing Club on their running of
the weekend's Drachten Internationals. Dave also says that
Pro ET could be run at Drachten next year if enough racers
enter.
"The event was run in difficult weather conditions with limited
resources", says Dave. "The combination of regular clear pit
announcments in English as well as Dutch meant that we
always knew when our classes were running. Following Friday
night's downpour the revised procedure for getting the cars to
the start line was also understood.
"Steve's wheelstanding Plymouth was certainly a crowd- and
start line crew-pleaser on Friday's smooth and grippy track,
but Saturday's more difficult conditions gave Steve a
seriously zig-zagging thrill ride and then the car launched
backwards with me aboard when it lost first gear at the hit on
a Super Gas qualifier.
"Whilst that was game over for us, we enjoyed this event so
much that we will be bringing two cars next year. eXplosion
president Theo Willemse said that if we can get a total of
eight or more Pro ET teams to enter the July 2009 race then
Pro ET could be adopted as a class in Holland, in the same
way that English racers achived with Super Pro, so come and
do your bit for European drag racing and have fun at the
same time!
"If you would like more information about racing at Drachten,
then see Steve, Gary or I at the track."
Interessante Info auch für die ProET'ler in Deutschland, wie ich finde.
