Hi Eric and SPET observer,
I totally agree with the statement from you and Tony.
This is a valid point and I belive the keyfactor.
At present I belive people are looking for the new challange and speed.
However, a lot of racer have build their cars not for SG / SC but due to the lack of other classes the SPET would be a perfect fit.
For instance see Tom Winter and his two cars.
You can also see other German teams, that easily kill the index of SG and / or SC. So the main task is to find a class for already build cars and have the most fun out of it.
I just speak for myself and my opinion, so don't get me wrong.
Another fact for me to compete in SG and / or SPET are the modification during he winter 2007/2008.
The outcome and results in April 2008 will show where we end up, cause my cristall bowl does not work in drag racing.
Nevertheless, I will rather run in a full SG field, than in a much smaller SC or SPET competition.
But that is just me and what do I know after my first active season in drag racing
