The year was 87 I Think when the crowed went wild to see a Pretty White VW beat a Pretty White Corvett.
The original owner of the Gepard Opel GT was Jürgen Richter and yes he was one of the FIVE original grounders of the Drag Races in Hockenheim. Jurgen sold the Gepard to ME and I let my Crew Chief from Heidi,s Mustang drive the Opel till we sold it to Gido Uhler who raced it with success for a few years before going to a very impressive SG Opel Manta.The Gepard is parked in a garage in Berlin FOR SALE.

PS:The original 5 organizers of the now named Nitrolympx in Hockenheim were Rico,Matheis Seidler,Hans Kloss,Jürgen Richter, and ME Jerry.
I am the last of the original 5 who is still involved in the NitrolympX.
PS: Manfred Gomez (Kometz) is the Adviser for Technical Issues.to the DMSB Fachausschuse for Drag Racing where Rico is the vorsitzender with Helmut Hagermann and myself as the other 2 members of the FA.
