If price is your main concern, like I said before, maybe you would be interested in a mini spool:

This still depends on how much torque you plan on sending to the 10 bolt, but much better than welding the spider and side gears. You still use the open carrier you have in there now and simply replace the spider and side gears with the mini spool. Are you planning a gear change too? Are you planning or do you already use slicks? Do you already have C-clip eliminators or axles with flange retention? Remember, that if using slicks, the factory C-clip axle retention is not allowed.
