Gurte - mr.t - 28.04.2002

Gruss Manfred

Gurte - mr.t - 12.08.2002

Im Klartext also ET/SST/SG/SC/Comp/ 4 Jahre

und alles andere darüber 2 Jahre

Richtig?

Gurte - osldon - 12.12.2002

Check the http://www.sfifoundation.com under specifications.

That is were you find many specs. DMSB should be able to pull and share sfi spec sheets for you.

Was soll es, also haste gleich eine Sache die Du Dir zu Weihnachten wünschen kannst Big Grin

Bis dann,

Torsten

When an organization is SFI affiliate the organization has the possibility to certify inspectors.

There is a SFI affiliate on Germany.
There is also an anual chassis check/test at the Hockenheim Ring.

I will contact Carl Olson and ask him if and how a racer could have his gurte checked and approved. Just like with Chassis.

Later,

Don

Gurte - osldon - 17.12.2002

Folks,

Below the answer from Carl Olson, Motorsport manager at SFI Foundation.

Dear Mr. Leemker:

Thank you so much for informing us that DHRA has signed the Letter of
Agreement, and will become an SFI Affiliated Sanctioning Organization. We
look forward to working with you and your associates toward a safer sport in
Holland.

With regard to re-certification (renewal) of safety related items certified
as meeting SFI Quality Assurance Specifications, please be advised that many
items do not have a specific service life, and need not be re-certified.
These items are merely inspected by the scrutineers at sanctioned racing
events, who check to make sure the item is properly identified with the
appropriate SFI tag, label or patch, and has not been modified or damaged in
any way.

In those product categories with a stated service life, the original
manufacturer of such items as drivers protective clothing and seat belts
will, in many cases, re-certify products that are unmodified, and remain in
serviceable condition. If the product cannot be re-certified due to damage
or modification, it is necessary for the racer to purchase a new, certified
product.

You should also be aware that each year, the SFI conducts a European
Certification Tour for the inspection and re-certification of such items as
flywheels, clutches, safety bellhousings and chassis. In March of 2003,
inspections will take place in England, Sweden, Finland and Germany (at the
Hockenheimring). Starting in 2004, if there are sufficient products needing
inspection and re-certification, a tour stop in Holland can certainly be
arranged.

In the meantime, following next year's Hockenheim inspection program, SFI
President, Mr. Arnold Kuhns, will be in Frankfurt, Germany on Wednesday
morning, 5 March 2003 prior to his return to the U.S.A. If you and your
associates would like to meet with Mr. Kuhns to discuss your involvement
with the SFI Foundation, he would be happy to meet with you. If you are
interested in scheduling such a meeting, please let me know, and I will help
set it up.

I hope I have answered all of your questions. Should you have further
questions or comments, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.

Best regards,

CARL V. OLSON
Motorsports Manager
